An Inconvenient Truth

The other night Darren and I watched "An In Convenient Truth" the Al Gore documentary on global warming. It was a huge eye opener and I really recommend watching it. There are so many small, everyday things that we can do to reduce our impact on the environment. You can find out what some of them are and find out more about the movie at: www.climatecrisis.net/takeaction/whatyoucando/

I really hope some of you will take the time to have a look at it and think about the changes that we can all make in our every day lives to help this situation. Here's an example:

Unplug electronics from the wall when you’re not using them
Even when turned off, things like hairdryers, cell phone chargers and televisions use energy. In fact, the energy used to keep display clocks lit and memory chips working accounts for 5 percent of total domestic energy consumption and spews 18 million tons of carbon into the atmosphere every year!

Isn't that crazy??
