What do you have against almonds???

I am sad to report that Starbucks has discontinued their almond syrup which means that I can no longer order my favorite drink the steamed almond milk. This is indeed a tragedy!




I supposed it could have been a positive thing in that it may have saved me from wasting my hard earned dollars on overpriced beverages but I have discovered another drink that is to die for....and more expensive (go figure!)....the Dolce Cinnamon Latte. Um, yeah...I have issues.

Anyway, I have written to Starbucks to express my disappointment and I hope that you will too. I figure if enough people complain about it they might bring it back. Help a sister out! Darren & I headed off to Akumal (near Playa del Carmen) for my birthday. It was such a wonderful trip!!



Here we are waiting for our massages on the beach. The building in the background is where we stayed. Our room had an ocean view & was absolutely gorgeous!!

We did quite a bit of snorkeling and there were a lot of neat fish right out front of our hotel. Here's Darren feeding the fish some coconut.

I'd love to tell you what all of these buildings are but our tour guide only had 2 teeth and his "Spanglish" was a bit difficult to understand.

The funniest part of the trip was one night...I think it was after the rolling disco tour to Cancun, we stopped at the hotel buffet at like 5:00 in the morning and Darren loaded up his plate with what he thought was an enourmous sundried tomato...but it turned out to be a chili pepper. The look on his face was priceless!!! The poor guy almost had steam coming out of his ears.
