NICE LUNGS!!

One year ago today I smoked my very last cigarette and then quit cold turkey....so tomorrow will be my first anniversary of a smoke free life. Not even one puff...although I do have to admit to asking the occasional person to blow cigarette smoke in my face. I am only human you know!

And NO, the sheesha pipe we smoked in Hong Kong doesn't count either!! Fruit flavored tobacco with no nicotine...whatever!

So for those of you who may have been wondering where those extra 5 to 10 pounds mysteriously came from....ask my lungs! And please feel free to send your accolades and blow smoke up my ass if you want...pun intended.

Not sure where that first picture disappeared to, but I found a couple of other cool ones!

More art....

"To practice any art, no matter how well or badly, is a way to make your soul grow. So do it." - Kurt Vonnegut

As it turns out Sara is not the only artist around. Here are some cool pictures that my Dad did on his computer. Who knew?

If you have a creative bone in your body feel free to email me your artwork and I will post it up....stick men are welcome too :) Judging from Sarah's blog Suds can draw a mean balloon face!

This one is my favorite!

Swapitty Swap

We had a clothing swap while Sarah was visiting.

Georgia came by to claim her special prize for her best/worst hair do. Sadly (or fortunately...not sure), First Choice no longer offers gift certificates so she had to settle for the Dippity Do....which I'm sure will come in handy one day down the road when she actually has hair of her own.

She also got to meet Trevor for the first time and they seemed to take quite a shine to eachother!

Pat stopped by for a while and modeled some of the clothes in the pile with "pride."

Sarah & Whit did some late Christmas stocking opening.

All in all it was a good night....clothes, food & wine...pretty hard to go wrong there!

Hanging out at the beach

If you have never been to Crescent Beach before you have to go! It is such a gorgeous place to go for a walk and grab some fish & chips.

There are all these adorable homes and cottages right along the waterfront.

Appartently boys never get tired of looking under rocks for crabs!

Blue steel all the way baby!

I bet you never knew we were highly skilled rock balancers!!

Girls Night Out

Barb's 30th was at the end of January and a couple of us went downtown to celebrate (some of us more than others...lol).

We had a fantastic dinner at Saltlik and then we were off on a little pub crawl through Vancouver.

First stop the Cellar....$12.00 for cover....can you believe that??? Then Doolins....

Then SIP lounge...then the Buffalo Club...then after some lame music and a bit of trouble staying vertical (I won't name any names here... ha ha) it was off to the skytrain and home to bed!

We are such posers!!
